Benue Deaths: “The Value Of Human Life Is Greater Than That Of A Cow” – Leader Tinubu

The Leader of Nigeria, Bola Tinubu, on Wednesday declared that the value of human lives is greater than that of cows.

Naija Report reports that Leader Tinubu made the assertion while addressing during his condolence visit to Benue State over the mass killing of residents by armed attackers and terrorists.

The Nigerian leader submitted that lives must be preserved, as they are tired of burying individuals.

He additionally called on the individuals of the state to join hands and work together in ensuring the safety of lives and assets, and prevent barbaric actions such as those which led to the massacre of several Nigerians in Yelewata, Guma Local Administration Area of Benue State and other communities around the Benue-Nasarawa corridor.

“The value of human life is greater than that of a cow.

We are here to govern, not to bury.

“We want to handover to the generation yet unborn,” Leader Tinubu stated.

He called on the individuals to join him and other leaders in the fight against instability.

Meanwhile, the leader additionally directed Governor Hyacinth Alia of Benue to work with all stakeholders and deed as a father to everyone in the state.

He announced the establishment of a Committee of Elders, which will include all former governors of Benue and the current Governor of Nasarawa State, to assist chart a path to tranquility.

Tinubu additionally urged the governor to provide land for ranching as part of the efforts to address the persistent farmer-herder crisis.

Appealing to the individuals of Benue, Tinubu called on all residents to unite and work together toward lasting tranquility.

He further charged traditional rulers to collaborate closely with the administration in achieving stability and reconciliation.
