Chiamaka Nnadozie Bids Emotional Farewell To Paris FC After Historic Five-Year Spell

Super Falcons goalkeeper, Chiamaka Nnadozie, has officially announced her departure from Paris FC, bringing an end to a successful five-and-a-half-year stint with the French club.

Chiamaka Nnadozie joined Paris FC in 2020 from Nigerian Women’s Football League side Rivers Angels, and quickly established herself as a standout performer.

She leaves the club on a high after playing a pivotal role in their 2025 Coupe de France Féminine triumph, the first major title for the club in nearly 20 years.

In the final played at the Stade de l’Épopée in Calais, Nnadozie was instrumental, saving two penalties in a dramatic 5–4 shootout win over PSG after a goalless draw in regulation time.

Her heroics between the posts sealed a historic victory and capped off a stellar season.

Taking to social media platform 𝕏, Nnadozie shared an emotional farewell message which reads: “Been an honour to have been a part of this amazing team for the past five and half years. I will miss each and every one of you. Thank you for all the support and great memories. It’s hard to say goodbye to such a fantastic team. Keep achieving greatness.”

Her time in France saw her become a cornerstone of Paris FC’s defensive setup, earning the Best Goalkeeper award in the Arkema Première Ligue for the 2023–2024 season.

She amassed 100 domestic league appearances, recorded 44 clean sheets, and maintained an impressive 74.4% save rate.

In a statement, Paris FC paid glowing tribute to the Nigerian international, saying: “Arriving at Paris FC in 2020 from River Angels FC, Chiamaka immediately became an essential part of the team. Arkema’s best goalkeeper in 2023, she is leaving Paris FC after a magnificent victory in the Coupe de France, where she was one of the main actresses.

“Paris FC warmly thanks Chiamaka for all these five years that will forever leave an imprint in the history of the club. We wish her all the best for the next step of her career.”

Nnadozie’s departure marks the end of an era for Paris FC, but also opens a new chapter for the talented shot-stopper, whose next move will be closely followed by fans and football pundits alike.

Her journey from Nigeria’s local league to becoming a continental star in Europe stands as a beacon of inspiration for aspiring African footballers.
