Don’t Run From The House Because It Is Leaking – Bode George Tells Atiku, Other PDP Members In Coalition

A former Deputy National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Bode George, has cautioned members of the party who are additionally active in the African Democratic Congress (ADC) coalition to rethink their actions.

The PDP chieftain warned the likes of former Vice Leader Atiku Abubakar, former Senate Leader David Mark, and others that they can’t serve two masters by remaining in the party and at the same time, working for the ADC coalition.

According to George, it is additionally illogical to dump the PDP that brought them political fame just because of the current challenges in the party.

Naija Report reports that the PDP stalwart made the submission on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily programme on Friday.

“You can’t serve two masters, as stated in the Holy Book.

You either serve A or you serve B.

But to say you are in A and B is a fallacy,” George stated.

He additionally accused the recent ADC Chairman, David Mark and former Vice Leader Atiku Abubakar of being part of those accountable for the PDP crisis.

He added that the ADC coalition can’t stand the test of time because it lacks a clear strategy and concept.

He charged them to instead work with others on how to recover the PDP to its lost glory.

“It is nothing but existential imbecility.

Or sometimes what is called existential docility.

What is it that they are all going there?

“This is your father’s house.

The house made you, brought you to the limelight.

You gain every laurel and recognition from this same house.

And because there is a little crisis, is leaving the cultural thing to do?

No, you sit in there.

“If you have a house that is leaking, do you run out?

No, you are the landlord.

“Do they have a concept?

What is the strategy they have?

That is a classless strategy,” George stated.

Going down memory lane, George accused the likes of Atiku, Mark, and former PDP chairman, Iyorchia Ayu, of igniting the crisis in the PDP by denying Peter Obi the party’s presidential ticket for the 2023 election and giving it to a northerner when Muhammadu Buhari, who is additionally a northerner had just concluded eight years in authority.

“When we had the last convention, General Buhari had just finished eight years.

Then Atiku Abubakar wanted to compete (but) we stated no; a northern had just finished eight years.

We had (Peter) Obi in the South.

This was the beginning of the crisis.

“David Mark was the chairman of that convention, and Iyorchia Ayu was the chairman of the party.

Of course, you cannot do things like that and get away with it.

I warned against it at that point,” he stated.
