
‘He Contributed To The Establishment Of NIDCOM In 2019’ – Abike Dabiri Mourns Buhari
Chairperson of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), Abike Dabiri-Erewa, has mourned the death of former Leader Muhammadu Buhari.
In a declaration signed by NIDCOM spokesperson, Gabriel Odu on Monday, July 14, made available to Naija Report, Dabiri-Erewa stated the country has lost a man who served with discipline and was deeply committed to Nigeria.
The NiDCOM chairperson sent her condolences to the Buhari family, the individuals and administration of Katsina State, and Nigerians across the country and in the Diaspora.
She described his death as a heavy loss to a nation he served for numerous years.
Dabiri-Erewa remembered how Buhari worked to improve Nigeria’s image internationally and build stronger ties with other nations.
She stated that his aid for the creation of NiDCOM in 2019 was a clear sign of his interest in seeing Nigerians abroad contribute to national situation.
She urged Nigerians everywhere to continue living with values the late Leader stood for, such as patriotism, honesty, and putting the country initially.
“Leader Buhari’s aid for the establishment of NiDCOM in 2019 demonstrated his deep appreciation for the Nigerian Diaspora and his belief in their capacity to contribute meaningfully to the nation,” she stated.
She additionally asked God to comfort the former leader’s family and give them strength in this period of mourning.
