Latest: ‘It Is Unlikely Any Governor Will Go Against Tinubu’ – Uba Sani

The Governor of Kaduna State, Uba Sani, on Tuesday stated it will be difficult for any governor in Nigeria to oppose Leader Bola Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.

Naija Report reports that Sani stated this at the opening of a two-day interactive session on administration-resident engagement organised by the Ahmadu Bello Memorial Foundation at Arewa House, Kaduna.

The high-level meeting, convened by the Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial Foundation, is themed “Assessing Electoral Promises: Fostering Administration-Residents Engagement for National Unity.” Participants from across the 19 Northern states and the Federal Capital Territory, including former governors, ex-ministers, traditional rulers, technocrats, civil society actors, and religious leaders, are in attendance.

Sani, in his declaration, stated, “Moreover, no leader in Nigeria’s past has supported governors and sub-national governments the way Leader Bola Ahmed Tinubu is currently doing.

“As a result, it is unlikely that any governor in Nigeria would go against the leader.” Sani stated the federal administration is additionally taking steps to engage non-state actors in the north.

He added, “For the initially time in Nigeria’s past, the administration is engaging with non-state actors to discuss progress and assess the situation in northern Nigeria.
