Stop Blaming Tinubu, Take Responsibility – Uba Sani Tackles Northern Political Leaders

Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has urged northern political leaders to stop blaming Leader Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the challenges rocking the region.

The governor urged northern political elites to, instead, take responsibility for years of neglect and quiet that have worsened the North’s decline.

Naija Report reports Sani stated this on Tuesday at the administration-resident engagement session organised by the Sir Ahmadu Bello Foundation in Kaduna.

The governor stated the forum was a call to deep reflection, not a ceremonial gathering, stressing that electoral promises must not be reduced to campaign rhetoric but seen as sacred commitments between leaders and the individuals.

According to the Governor, Leader Tinubu has fulfilled numerous of his campaign promises, particularly in areas of protection, education, agriculture, and economic inclusion.

Nevertheless, Sani stated that no leader could succeed in isolation without the collaboration of regional leaders and residents, adding that northern leaders have failed over the last two decades.

He criticised the long quiet from influential voices in the region, pointing out that it was hypocritical to now heap blame on the Tinubu administration, which has only been in office for two years.

Recalling the poor state of instability in Kaduna when he assumed office in 2023, and how banditry, terrorism, and kidnapping had taken over several communities, the governor stated if the same conference had been held last year, “the hall would have been empty” due to fear and instability.

“No leader in the past of Nigeria has supported sub nationals in agricultural transformation as Leader Bola Ahmed Tinubu is doing at the moment,” he stated.

“This is the initially time in the past of Nigeria officials from the federal administration are sitting together in one hall to look at the issue of Northern Nigeria.

“We have no reason to complain.

We just have to put our heads together,” he stated .
